Nina Dobrev was met with an awkward encounter on the red carpet at the 2026 Venice Film Festival.
The 37-year-old Canadian actress was seemingly pulled away from the red carpet in a mortifying moment captured on video and shared by TMZ.
Dobrev was captured posing for cameras and fans during the world premiere of Danny Boyle’s drama Ink as a celebrity guest on Wednesday, September 2.
She was suddenly approached by a security guard, who tapped his watch as he gestured for her to wrap things up on the red carpet.
Appearing visibly confused by the interruption, the Love Hard initially seemed unfazed and continued to pose for photographs while flaunting her dazzling, vintage-inspired Armani Privé long dress.
Things took a more awkward turn when another official intervened and signalled for Dobrev to step away from the red carpet, prompting her to walk away before she frowned at the cameras.
Fans’ reactions

“Why celebrities still going to that rude event just stop going,” one user wrote on Instagram.

“They do this every year don’t they? I wouldn’t even go,” a third remarked.
A fourth netizen commented, “I don’t know this lady but those guys were very unprofessional. At least they could’ve done it in a nice way.”
