Ninety-day intensive legal awareness and public relations campaign conducted in tribal dominated areas of the district including Pakur Mandal Jail.

Pakur, Jharkhand:-As per the instructions of Jhalsa Ranchi, under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority Pakur, on the instructions of Principal District and Sessions Judge cum Chairman District Legal Services Authority Pakur Diwakar Pandey, under the guidance of Dalsa Secretary Rupa Bandana Kiro, under the ongoing ninety-day intensive legal awareness and public relations campaign, a legal awareness campaign was conducted today by the team of Dalsa in tribal dominated areas including Pakur Mandal Jail.

Under the said campaign, prisoners and people were given information about their legal rights. So that we can be empowered on our legal rights. People deprived of justice in their neighborhood can get information about their legal rights and free legal aid available from the District Legal Services Authority, Pakur.

For this purpose, the Dalsa team is reaching out to every house and giving information to the people so that they are not deprived of justice. Under the said campaign, Chief of Legal Aid Defense Council System Subodh Kumar Dafadar and panel advocate Sanjit Kumar Mukherjee gave detailed information to the prisoners about the legal provisions including the schemes of DLSA and NALSA. So that we can ensure justice to ourselves, our family and the people of the society.

In tribal dominated areas, para legal volunteers Manoj Soren, Saurabh Kumar Yadav distributed awareness pamphlets making them aware on prevention of witchcraft, child marriage, dowry system, domestic violence and also made aware about sponsorship scheme. Jail administrative officer and para-legal volunteers Sayem Ali were present in Mandal Jail Pakur.
