Nishant Kumar 2.0: Nitish’s son’s masterplan in Bihar politics, which will change the equation

These days, the biggest discussion in Bihar politics is about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son Nishant Kumar. Nishant has entered politics, but for now his decision to stay away from any government post has surprised everyone. Now everyone’s eyes are fixed on the coming month of June, which is being considered as the ‘turning point’ of Nishant’s political career. The question is whether they will become a part of power or play a bigger role in the organization?

Efforts to prepare political ground will start from Champaran Nishant Kumar is leaving on a statewide tour of Bihar from May 3. Interestingly, this journey will start from West Champaran. Remember that this is the same area from where Nitish Kumar had started many of his historic tours. There is discussion in political circles that the selection of Champaran is not a coincidence, but a well-thought-out strategy. Experts believe that this step is an attempt to strengthen Nishant’s ‘ground connection’ and establish himself as a grassroots leader. During this visit, he will interact directly with the workers from Panchayat to District level.

Nishant’s new formula: ‘Ground before power’ The most special thing about this journey is that Nishant will not go among the public like a big VIP leader, but as an ordinary worker of JDU. His entire focus at present is on understanding and strengthening the organization rather than the post. It is being told that this journey can last for 3 to 4 months. During this, he will go to every corner of the state and assess the real situation of the party. This is being seen as a strategy to ‘prepare land before power’.

Preparation to carry forward father’s ‘political model’ Nishant Kumar seems to be completely following the footsteps of his father Nitish Kumar. Just as Nitish Kumar felt the pulse of the public and strengthened his hold through travels for decades, Nishant is also adopting the same path. Starting from Champaran is being seen as a symbol of Gandhian politics and development. It is believed that Nishant is preparing to present Nitish Kumar’s development model as ‘2.0 version’.

There may be a big announcement regarding the post of MLC in June The news is fast floating in the political circles that the month of June will be decisive for the future of Nishant Kumar. Elections are to be held on 9 Legislative Council (MLC) seats in Bihar, out of which 3 seats can go to JDU quota. There is a possibility that Nishant Kumar can be made MLC on one of these seats. If this happens, then only after this it will be clear whether he will take a ministerial post in the government or will give edge to the party by remaining active in the organization itself.

At present focus on distance from power and organization The surprising thing is that Nishant Kumar has flatly refused to accept any government post at present. In between, there were reports of him being made Deputy CM, but he did not accept it. It is his personal decision that he wants to first fully prepare himself for the nuances of politics. He believes that the pleasure of power is meaningless without a strong support base.

NDA cabinet expansion and changing political movements On one hand, Nishant is searching for his land, while on the other hand, activities are going on regarding the cabinet expansion of the NDA government in Bihar. At present, the number of ministers in the government led by Samrat Chaudhary is less, whereas a maximum of 36 ministers can be made. If sources are to be believed, the cabinet expansion may take place between May 4 and 10, in which BJP and JDU may get equal shares. Amidst all this, this step of Nishant Kumar indicates that he wants to become a long-distance horse and does not want to spoil his image by taking any post in a hurry.
