It has come to light that the father of a girl named Nishu Azad was brutally beaten and seriously injured during an agitation by the 'Cockroach Janata Party' (CJP) last month. A social media influencer named Swatantra Bhardwaj attacked Nishu's father Sanjay Kumar. In this regard, Nishu himself gave information about this kind of shocking video sharing.

Nishu had lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police regarding this incident. But the police let Bhardwaj go without taking any action against him. Bhardwaj admitted this in an interview. Realizing this, Nishu again posted a video and appealed directly to Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi and Cockroach Janata Party. Following this appeal, CJP spokespersons Ashutosh Ranka and Sourav Das along with hundreds of members of the Cockroach Janata Party protested outside the Sansad Marg police station this morning. Demanded immediate filing of First Information Report (FIR) against Swatantra Bhardwaj. After CJP's protest, Nishu Azad met senior officials of Delhi Police and lodged an official complaint.

CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka alleged that CJP activist Nishu Azad and her father Sanjay were beaten up during the protest at Jantar-Mantar. Sanjay's head was injured in this incident. We have consistently demanded the Delhi Police to arrest the accused and charge them with attempted murder. However, the police did not take action,” alleged Ranka.
Claiming that a video of one of the accused had gone viral on social media, he also alleged that the person concerned had confessed to the attack. The CJP has demanded that the accused should be arrested and action should be taken under strict sections in this case.
'Police did not interfere politically' – Delhi Police
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has dismissed the CJP's allegations. The police clarified that there was no political interference in the investigation into the alleged assault during the protest at Jantar-Mantar on June 23. Delhi Police said that legal action has been taken against both the accused persons in this case.
According to the police, 38-year-old Sanjay Kumar of Ghaziabad was injured in the head during the scuffle at Jantar-Mantar. After social media posts related to the incident and a video of one of the accused went viral, the Delhi Police clarified its stance through social media. Meanwhile, while the CJP is demanding the arrest of the accused and action under stricter sections, the Delhi Police, however, has clarified that action has been taken against both the accused as per law.
