Nissan Tekton will enter in the name of ‘Baby Patrol’, global debut will be in India on July 9
Nissan Tekton launched: Japanese car manufacturer Nissan is preparing to launch its new midsize SUV Tekton in the Indian market. The company has revealed its launch date through a new teaser. The global debut of Nissan Tekton will take place on July 9 in Mumbai. The special thing is that the company is presenting its new SUV as ‘Baby Patrol’, because its design is largely inspired by Nissan’s famous full-size SUV Patrol.

In the teaser, the front look of the car looks quite attractive and powerful. The large grille at the front, straight and muscular body lines, connected LED light bar spanning the entire width and the illuminated Nissan logo in the middle give it a premium look. At the same time, ‘TEKTON’ written in big letters on the bonnet shows its different style.
Talking about the features, Nissan Tekton is expected to get premium features like 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, wireless charging and ambient lighting. For safety, it can also be provided with advanced features like Level-2 ADAS, 360 degree camera and 6 airbags.
Among engine options, the base variant is likely to get a 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine, which will deliver 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque. At the same time, 1.3 liter turbo petrol engine can be given in the top variant, which will generate power of 163 PS and torque of 280 Nm. Both manual and CVT gearbox options may be available with it.
Talking about the price, the starting ex-showroom price of Nissan Tekton is expected to be less than Rs 11 lakh. After its launch in the Indian market, it will compete with popular SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos and Tata Sierra.
