Skoda Kodiaq RS— Skoda Auto India is going to present its performance-oriented SUV Skoda Kodiaq RS to the country on June 22, 2026. This is the first time in the Indian market that the company is adding its iconic ‘RS’ (Rally Sport) badge to an SUV. This premium vehicle was recently spotted testing on the busy roads of Mumbai without any cover or camouflage, causing a stir among car lovers. The company is bringing this special model in very limited numbers and only 50 units have been allotted for India.

Mumbai test run and exterior design

It is clear from the pictures revealed during testing in Mumbai that the look of the new Kodiaq RS is very sporty. The front of the car has a signature gloss black grille and a re-designed bumper, which has large air intakes for air ventilation. Apart from this, the vehicle has been provided with LED matrix headlights and dual exhaust tips at the rear. The ‘vRS’ branding is clearly visible on the front bumper and rear tailgate of the car. Talking about the wheels, it has been given large alloy wheels with red colored brake callipers, which give it a very aggressive stance.

How is the sporty and premium interior?

The cabin of this SUV has been made completely driver-centric and sporty. A completely black theme has been used in the interior, which has been given a red-stitching (red thread stitching) design on the door panels, dashboard and seats to give a special look.
Electrically adjustable sports seats have been provided in the front which come with memory function. To make the journey comfortable, modern features of massage, cooling (ventilation) and heating have been added to these special seats. Apart from this, a large touchscreen infotainment system and digital cockpit will also be seen in the cabin.

Strength of power and performance

As for international markets, the Skoda Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine. This powerful engine is capable of generating power of approximately 261 bhp and torque of 400 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, which supplies power to all four wheels through an all-wheel drive (AWD) system. In terms of speed, this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 6.3 seconds.

Availability and booking in Indian market

Skoda will import this vehicle into India through the completely built unit (CBU) route. This is the reason why only 50 units will be made available for sale in the country. Its booking process is also expected to start officially from June 22, 2026. Its expected ex-showroom price in the Indian market is estimated to be between Rs 45 lakh to Rs 55 lakh.
