NITI Aayog Meeting: Chief Ministers of all 28 states gathered together for the first time, PM Modi told why AI is not a challenge, but a big opportunity for the country.

A very important step has been taken regarding the roadmap to make India a self-reliant and developed nation by the year 2047. The 11th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog was concluded under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The main theme of this high-profile meeting was ‘Inclusive Human Development for a Developed India @2047’. Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister clearly said that the dream of a developed India cannot be fulfilled only by the policies of the Central Government. This goal will be realized only when every state, district, block and village of the country will work considering it as a common resolution. The Prime Minister described the country’s 70 crore youth population as India’s biggest collective strength and appealed to the states to work together to convert this ‘Demographic Dividend’ into ‘Development Dividend’ for the country’s progress. New avenues will open for youth and small industries (MSMEs). The Prime Minister urged all the Chief Ministers to create more and more new opportunities for skill development of youth and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in their respective states. Along with this, a major strategy to boost global trade was shared: States should take advantage of FTAs: States should make active efforts to attract direct investment from the major countries with which India has signed Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). ‘One District, One Product’ (ODOP): There is a need to further strengthen the ‘One District, One Product’ initiative to give global recognition to local artisans and products. Defense Manufacturing: There are immense opportunities in the field of defense manufacturing in the country today, states should take advantage of these opportunities and generate employment at the local level. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not a challenge, but a means of progress. In this modern era of technology, AI is often seen as a threat or challenge to employment. But Prime Minister Modi completely rejected this thinking and said that we should not see Artificial Intelligence as a challenge but as a great opportunity. What is needed is that we fully equip our citizens and youth with new technologies and ‘future-ready skills’ as per the future requirements. Special emphasis given on natural farming and water conservation. Expressing concern over the possible dangers of changing weather patterns and El Niño, the Prime Minister alerted the states regarding environmental and agricultural safety: Water Conservation: To deal with water shortage, states will have to give priority to old and modern techniques of water harvesting and conservation. Natural Farming: To stop the increasing use of chemicals and maintain the fertility of the land, it is necessary to promote natural and organic farming on a large scale. Coordination on Social Security: It is essential to have a strong and coordinated network between the Central and State Governments to deal with new social challenges like drug addiction and rapidly increasing cyber fraud. Historic feature of the meeting: All 28 states were seen together for the first time. This meeting also created a new history in Indian politics and diplomacy. This was the first time in the country when Chief Ministers of all 28 states of India attended this meeting of NITI Aayog together. Apart from this, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of 5 Union Territories also participated enthusiastically in it. Congratulations to PM Modi on completion of 12 years of tenure. During the meeting, all the Chief Ministers and Captains congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the completion of his successful 12 years of tenure (from 2014 to 2026). All states expressed solidarity with the policies of the Central Government to ensure energy security of the country and maintain India’s economic growth rate amid the ongoing geopolitical turmoil globally.
