Strictness on private schools in Bihar, new government order implemented

Patna. The Education Department has taken a big step to ensure transparency and accountability of private schools in Bihar. It has now been made mandatory for all private schools to make their complete information public on the website of the Education Department. The last date for this has been fixed as June 30.

Patna District Education Office was continuously receiving complaints that many schools were not following the rules and necessary information was not easily available to the parents. Keeping this in view, this strict instruction has been issued.

Complete information will have to be given on the website

The Education Department has directed all the schools to make public on their website the number of teachers and their qualifications, the educational structure of the school, the basic facilities available, the ratio of students and teachers in each class, the total number of students, along with this the schools will also have to make public the complete information about their fee structure and annual fee.

Details of bus and transport are also necessary

According to the new instructions, private schools will also have to give complete details of their transport arrangements on the website. This includes the total number of school buses, information about vans and mini buses, details of transport facilities etc. Apart from this, it will also be mandatory for schools to share the latest updates related to their affiliation and board.

Strict action will be taken if rules are not followed

The Education Department has made it clear that if any school does not upload the information by June 30, strict action will be taken against it. It may also include review of matters related to accreditation and other administrative steps.

Special investigation campaign will run in July
