Following the Supreme Court's decision, Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Tuesday said that all FIRs registered against students during the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protests will be withdrawn. No action will be taken against them. On Tuesday itself, the Supreme Court has ordered to cancel all the FIRs registered against the protesters.
JP Nadda said, 'On behalf of the Government of India, keeping in mind the future of the students, we had assured them that the cases registered against the protesting students will be withdrawn and no further strict action will be taken against them.'

Following the Supreme Court order, CJP has withdrawn its march proposed on September 5. JP Nadda welcomed this step of CJP and said, 'In the same spirit, we also discussed with BJP ruled states. Now we are going to fulfill our assurance. We welcome CJP's decision to withdraw the September 5 protests in Delhi.
On June 20, CJP started its movement against the NEET paper leak. The main demand was the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. After the resignation, on July 25, CJP had announced to end its agitation. At that time JP Nadda and Union Minister Jitendra Singh had held talks with CJP leaders. It was agreed to give compensation to the families of the students who lost their lives due to the FIR registered against the protesters and the NEET-UG examination.

On July 20, CJP had called for 'Chalo Sansad'. During this time there was a violent clash between the security forces and the protesters. Delhi Police lathicharged the crowd and rained tear gas shells. The opposition condemned the police action and put the government in the dock. Just a few days ago, CJP leaders accused the government of breaking promises and said that the promises made on July 25 were not being fulfilled. After this, a march was announced till Delhi Police Headquarters on 5th September.
