Previously, users were redirected to the browser while making payments. Where payment often fails. Now, this process can be done within seconds directly from the app itself. Fully developed and tested by Viona Fintech, an NPCI-certified technology service provider in Hyderabad. It is designed to enable banks and lenders to quickly connect with this new feature.
What was the problem before?
When a customer would set up auto-debit for EMI, insurance premium or mutual fund, the app would often redirect them to an external web browser page. Then, the process would be incomplete due to reasons such as slow pages, app crashes or technical glitches. This caused a lot of dissatisfaction among the customers. Due to this, there was a flood of complaints in the call centers of the bank.
What will eNACHLite change?
NPCI will no longer need to navigate to external web pages. So now, all transactions can be completed in one app. Users will no longer need to exit the app. Setting up, modifying, pausing or canceling mandates can all be done easily from within the app. In the app, the customer will see the details on the screen. It will then verify your identity using their card or Aadhaar. Enter the OTP received on their mobile and the process will be completed within seconds. Importantly, if any transaction fails for any reason, the system will clearly explain the reason for the problem.
How will banks benefit?
More customers will be able to complete their payment process once the technical issues are resolved. This will significantly reduce the number of complaints received at the call center and help the customer care immediately by identifying the exact reason for the payment failure. Moreover, banks will not need to develop a new app for this. NPCI-certified companies like Viona Fintech will handle technical infrastructure and security management. Notably, customers' sensitive card and identity details will be stored directly in NPCI's secure system, eliminating the risk of data leakage.
