‘No petrol, vehicles are junk…’ SP leader Mujahid Ali furious after Akhilesh Yadav

Moradabad. Anger has now started burning on political ground against the government’s decision to mix ethanol in petrol in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh. This issue raised by Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav is now getting huge support at the local level also. Thakurdwara’s senior SP leader and former block chief Mujahid Ali, while praising Akhilesh Yadav’s stance in this matter, has directly attacked the central and state governments. He clearly said that the government is robbing the pockets of the common people for the benefit of the companies.

In fact, for some time now it has been a common discussion among the drivers that after filling petrol, the vehicles are not giving the same mileage which they used to get earlier. Mujahid Ali says that Akhilesh Yadav has touched this sore spot of the people at the right time. There is huge resentment over this among farmers and middle class families in the areas around Moradabad and Thakurdwara.

Vehicle scrap is turning into new fuel, maintenance costs have doubled

SP leader Mujahid Ali, citing complaints received from the people of the area, said that after the increase in the amount of ethanol in petrol, not only has the mileage of vehicles suddenly fallen, but their engines are also responding prematurely. In fact, mechanics and experts also believe that this fuel mixing is causing serious problems in vehicles with older engines. Due to this, fuel pumps of vehicles are getting damaged and people’s maintenance expenses have almost doubled. In this era of inflation, this is another big economic burden on the general public.

Robbing the public for corporate profits?

Mujahid Ali sarcastically said that on one hand, inflation has already broken the back of the common man, and on the other hand, in the name of petrol, such fuel is being given which is reducing the lifespan of vehicles. He alleged that the government is not concerned with the problems of the people, its entire focus is on increasing the profits of oil companies. Samajwadi Party demands that the government should immediately remove this technical flaw and accountability of oil companies should be fixed so that consumers can get pure and better fuel.
