Notorious dacoit carrying reward of Rs 1 lakh killed in STF encounter

Ambedkarnagar. UP STF team killed a notorious criminal from Kanpur carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh in an encounter near Jagdishpur village of Bewana police station area on Tuesday morning. The team has recovered illegal weapons, more than 20 cartridges, bike etc. from him. The notorious criminal was an active member of Chhaimar gang. On Tuesday morning, at around 3.45 am, gunshots were heard near the pond near Jagdishpur village. The STF team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Mishra had surrounded the member of the robbery gang.

In retaliatory firing, Vicky alias Asim Ali alias Maphe Ali alias Peda, resident of Makanpur, Kanpur was seriously injured. He was taken to the district hospital for treatment. Where he died. According to the team, Vicky was an active member of the Chhaimar robbery gang. These gangs used to carry out incidents of robbery in different districts of states like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana. During this period, home owners were even murdered in many incidents when they protested. 21 cases are registered against the accused under various sections including robbery, murder. The STF team was trying to arrest him for a long time. During investigation, it was revealed that the concerned gang is active in Ambedkar Nagar district these days.

On Tuesday morning, the STF team surrounded him near Jagdishpur village of Bewana police station area. He was killed in the team’s retaliatory firing. According to STF, Vicky was involved in criminal activities since 2006. There were 21 criminal cases registered against him in different police stations. In the year 2014, this gang had committed a robbery at the house of Renu Singh, a resident of Shahganj in Jaunpur district. In this, 6 members of the family were attacked with sharp weapons. Due to which three members later died. Similarly, there are many other incidents in which injured family members later died.
