Now in April, these 2 private banks have revised the interest rates on FD, know where you will get how much return?

In April, many banks have changed the interest rates of fixed deposits (FD Rates). Now private sector CSB Bank and South Indian Bank have also been included in this list. The new rates have also become effective. As per the amendment, CSB Bank is offering interest ranging from 3% to 7.35% to the general citizens on tenure ranging from 7 days to 10 years. South Indian Bank is giving returns ranging from 2.90% to 6.80% to common citizens.

Both the banks are also offering an extra interest to senior citizens. All banks keep revising the interest rates on fixed deposits from time to time considering various financial factors. Therefore, before investing, it is advised to keep visiting the official website of the bank or the nearest branch.

South Indian Bank FD Interest Rates

South Indian Bank has implemented new interest rates from April 9. 0.50% extra interest is being given to senior citizens on all tenures on investment of less than Rs 3 crore. The interest rate is minimum 3.40% and maximum 7.30%. Maximum tenure is available for 2 years. The bank has reduced interest rates on many tenures. In March 2026, 6.35% interest was being given on one year tenure, but now 6.25% return will be available.

This bank is offering 5.70% interest on 5 year tax game fixed deposit. You are getting 6.25% interest on investment for 1 year. If a person chooses a tenure option of less than 5 years to 66 months, then the bank will offer him 5.70% interest. 6% return is being given on 66 months green deposit.

CSB Bank FD Interest Rate

This private bank has implemented the new rates applicable on 6th April. The highest interest is available on tenure of 18 months. The bank is offering 7% interest to the customer on FD of 13 months and 6.50% interest on tenure more than 24 months, 14 days and up to 25 months. Senior citizens are getting 15 bps additional interest on all tenures above 6 months, with interest rates ranging from 3% to 7.50%.
