Now international card is not required for Burj Khalifa tickets, payment will be done directly through UPI

Indian digital payment system i.e. UPI has once again raised a big flag at the global level. Now it has become even easier for Indian tourists to visit the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. Tourists will now be able to book online tickets for Burj Khalifa’s extremely popular attraction ‘At the Top, Burj Khalifa’ directly through their UPI.

With this amazing facility, this famous tourist destination has become the first major attraction in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to adopt UPI payments for e-commerce transactions. With the launch of this new initiative, the process of booking tickets for Indian passengers has become faster, easier and hassle-free than ever before.

This is how the new system will work in UAE

Giving this information, NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) said on Wednesday that this facility has been started in collaboration with ‘Neopay’ and ‘Emaar Entertainment’. Let us tell you that NIPL is the international wing of National Payments Corporation of India i.e. NPCI, which works to promote UPI payment services in other countries of the world.

Under this new arrangement, Indian tourists will no longer have to wait to reach UAE. They can book their tickets by visiting the official website of Burj Khalifa while sitting in India. The best part is that they will not need any international credit or debit card while booking tickets. They will be able to make payments in a jiffy in a very secure manner through any UPI app used on their phone like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or BHIM app.

Why is this change special for Indians?

While traveling abroad, people often had to use international cards while booking tickets online, due to which many times they had to face technical problems like extra charges, hassles in currency exchange and payment getting stuck. Now with the advent of UPI, this entire hassle has ended and the process has become very user-friendly.

NIPL officials say that the scope of UPI is expanding rapidly across the world. UAE is one of the most favorite tourist spots of Indians and every year millions of people visit Dubai. In such a situation, the launch of this facility at Burj Khalifa is a matter of pride for every Indian. Through this, people will get relief from long queues and they will be able to plan their trips in a better way in advance.

India’s fintech is dominating the global level

Today India’s UPI is counted among the most successful digital payment systems in the world. UPI is now being used in many countries including Singapore, France, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Bhutan, Nepal and UAE. Its main objective is that Indians going abroad can get an easy and familiar payment experience like home. In the coming time, more big tourist spots and hotels of the world can adopt this technology, which will reduce the dependence on cash or international cards abroad to a great extent.
