NSUI protest over NEET paper leak, uproar over exam cancellation

NSUI workers demonstrated at the Collectorate in protest against the cancellation of NEET UG examination in Ajmer. Angered by the paper leak allegations, students raised slogans against the government and staged a protest demanding strict action against the culprits.

Ajmer: A strong demonstration was seen in Ajmer, Rajasthan on Tuesday against the cancellation of NEET UG 2026 examination. National Students Union of India (NSUI) workers took out a rally against the government and staged a protest outside the Collectorate over allegations of alleged paper leak in the examination.

This demonstration was led by NSUI Rural President Ankit Gharu. During the demonstration, the workers raised slogans against the government and raised the demand for transparency in the education system.

Demonstration outside Collectorate, jam on road

During the protest, NSUI workers came down on the main road, disrupting traffic for some time. Considering the situation, police force was deployed on the spot.

Angry workers protested by burning tires and raising slogans against the central and state governments. The protesters registered their protest by tying black bands on their heads, which was said to be a symbol of displeasure towards the education system.

Serious allegations on paper leak, questions on future of students

During the protest, NSUI leaders alleged that incidents of paper leaks are continuously coming to light in competitive examinations in the country, due to which the future of lakhs of students is being affected.

NSUI Rural President Ankit Gharu said that paper leaking in an important examination like NEET is a very serious matter. According to him, the students have worked hard for years, but the irregularities coming to light again and again have spoiled their hard work.

He alleged that the government was trying to suppress the matter, but after the matter came to light the examination had to be cancelled.

An atmosphere of disappointment among students and parents

The protesters said that due to the cancellation of exams, not only the students but also their families are facing mental stress and uncertainty. The career plans of many students have been affected and there is confusion about their future.

NSUI demanded that there should be an impartial and high-level investigation into the paper leak incidents so that the entire network is exposed and the culprits are given strict punishment.

Demand for resignation from the government and appeal for strict law

During the protest, NSUI workers accused the central and state governments of failing to handle the education system. Some leaders even said that if the government cannot ensure transparency of examinations then it should take moral responsibility and resign.

He also demanded that a strict law should be made against paper leak mafias and the digital and physical security system should be further strengthened so that such incidents do not happen in future.

The protest calmed down amidst police deployment

Due to this protest outside the Collectorate, traffic was affected for some time. Police deployed additional forces on the spot to control the situation.

Later, after the advice of the administration and police, the protest was ended peacefully. However, the protesters warned that the agitation would be further intensified if action was not taken on their demands.
