New Delhi: Amid talks on a peace deal, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has made a significant statement. In a statement issued on the Persian Gulf’s Independence Day, Mojtaba Khamenei described nuclear weapons as Iran’s capital. Khamenei stated that the evil America is trying to exert pressure on us through the Strait of Hormuz. He said that we will not relinquish our power at any cost. He described nuclear weapons, along with missiles and drones, as Iran’s assets.
Mujtaba further stated that thousands of people have sacrificed their lives to protect Iran. “We cannot surrender,” he said. “The Strait of Hormuz is Iran’s strength. We will defend it.” He described the Persian Gulf as a blessing from God and a target of foreign greed. He said that the Persian Gulf is a blessing that is more than just a body of water; it has formed a part of our identity and civilization.”
Describing the Strait of Hormuz as crucial
, Mujtaba said, “Besides being a connecting point between countries, it has created an essential and unique route for the global economy through the Sea of Oman. This strategic asset has aroused the greed of many ‘devils’ over the centuries. Repeated attacks by European and American foreigners have caused insecurity, losses, and numerous threats to the countries of the region. This is just a glimpse of the dangerous conspiracies of the world’s arrogant powers against the people of the Persian Gulf region. The latest example of this is the ‘swinging of the sword’ by the great devil (America).”
Nuclear is our asset, we will protect it.
Mujtaba said that today the Iranian nation has not only awakened millions of people who are ready to sacrifice their lives in the struggle against Zionism and the bloodthirsty America. Rather, the Islamic Ummah is united. 90 million brave and noble Iranians, both inside and outside the country, based on their identity, consider spiritual, human, scientific, and industrial capabilities, as well as basic and modern technologies (from nano and bio to nuclear and missile) as their national assets. They will protect these just as they protect their water, land, and air borders.
America cannot protect the region.
Mojtaba Khamenei said of Iran’s neighbor and US ally, “It is clear that these hollow American bases lack the power to even protect themselves, let alone offer any hope of security to the region’s people and loyal Americans. By God’s grace, the Persian Gulf region will have a bright future without America, dedicated to the progress, comfort, and well-being of its countries.”
He further stated that we share a common destiny with our neighbors across the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. In this statement, Mojtaba Khamenei made it clear that his enmity is with the United States and Israel, and that he seeks friendship with neighboring Sunni countries. Now, everyone awaits the American and Sunni countries’ reactions to this statement. Khamenei’s statement makes it clear that Iran will not bow to American conditions and is firm on the nuclear and Hormuz issues.
