Oath program on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day at border posts

Date – On Sunday, 31 May, an oath taking program was organized on the occasion of World No Tobacco Day at 44 Vahini Sashastra Seema Bal Narkatiaganj Vahini Headquarters and all the border outposts. This program was done under the able guidance of Balwant Singh Negi, Commandant 44 Vahini. World No Tobacco Day, observed every year on 31 May, is a global campaign to make people aware of the deadly health risks of tobacco use—such as cancer and heart disease—and to reduce its use.Tobacco consumption not only harms our lungs and health, but it also weakens families economically and socially. We have to protect the youth from the misleading propaganda of tobacco companies and build a healthy society. “All the force personnel present took a collective oath to stay away from tobacco products throughout their life and inspire others to do the same. More than 150 subordinate officers and force personnel of 44 corps, including Tarun Yadav, Assistant Commandant and all group in-charges, participated in the program.
