49 Overs Game Due to Rain IND A vs AFG A: The second match of the Tri Nation Series being played between India A and Afghanistan A is currently being played in Dambulla. During this period, Team India under the leadership of Tilak Verma has displayed excellent batting. But rain disrupted the match, due to which the match was reduced to 49 overs. By the time the rain arrived, the Indian team had scored 174 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 25 overs. Captain Tilak Verma and Ruturaj Gaikwad were standing at the crease.

Afghanistan captain won the toss

In this match, Afghanistan A captain Imran Mir won the toss and invited Team India to bat first. For India A, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Prabhsimran Singh started the innings and batted explosively from the very first over. Both these opening batsmen put pressure on the Afghan bowlers and scored runs at a fast pace.

India’s stormy start

The Indian team got an excellent partnership of 74 runs for the first wicket. Young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi missed another half-century, but he played an explosive inning of 44 runs in just 21 balls. His innings included many attractive fours and sixes. After Vaibhav’s dismissal, Priyansh Arya came to bat, but he once again failed to play a big innings and returned to the pavilion after scoring only 8 runs.

Prabhsimran Singh missed a century

At the other end, Prabhsimran Singh continued to bat aggressively. He completed his half-century in just 39 balls and took the Afghan bowlers to task. Prabhasimran was heading towards his century, but was out in the 22nd over on a personal score of 84 runs. His brilliant innings put India in a strong position.

India is in a strong position till the rains arrive

After Prabhasimran was out, captain Tilak Verma and Ruturaj Gaikwad took over the innings. Both the batsmen scored runs with patience and took the score to 174. However, the game had to be stopped due to rain starting in the 25th over. Due to weather the match has been reduced to 49 overs. The match is expected to resume after the rain stops, while the Indian team seems to be moving towards a big score.
