Rourkela, (Language) Two murder accused were injured by bullets in an encounter with the police in Rourkela, Odisha on Saturday morning. The officers provided this information.
Officials said that the encounter took place in Jhirpani police station area. Chhunu Haripa and Sushant Nayak were allegedly involved in the murder of Toofan Vindhani. Vindhani was murdered in a teak plantation on Tuesday afternoon. A police officer said that on the basis of intelligence, when the police team went to arrest Chhunu and Sushant., So they allegedly opened fire on the police. After this the police team also retaliated, In which both the accused were injured.
He said that both the accused were shot in the legs and have been admitted to Rourkela Government Hospital for treatment. Police said that a pistol has been recovered from the possession of the accused. He said that raids are going on at different places to arrest the remaining accused involved in this murder case.
