The decision of Lok Adalat is based on mutual consent and after settlement, the concerned case is finalized under the same process. Receipt can also be obtained after payment. Keeping old challan pending for a long time can increase problems for the vehicle owner. There may be difficulty in some vehicle related works, like RC transfer or obtaining NOC.
