On the lines of India, in America also, Trump is busy in cleaning the voter list, till now 24 thousand fake voters have been found.

Washington. The debate regarding the accuracy of the voter list in America has once again intensified. President Donald Trump has claimed that voter records and citizenship records of 2020 have been matched. According to this claim, in the initial analysis of 12.8 crore voters, more than 24 thousand non-citizen voters have been identified.

Trump posted this information on his social media platform Truth and said that now the records of the remaining 3.2 crore voters will also be examined, after which this figure may increase further.

Trump wrote, 'In examining the records of the first 128 million voters, the US Census Bureau has proven that more than 24,000 non-citizens cast illegal votes. The next 3.2 crore voters are yet to be analyzed and this figure will increase further. I won the election! We must pass the 'Save America Act' at all costs.

  • According to data released by the White House, among the non-citizens whose voter records have been found, the number of Mexican-born people is reported to be the highest (3,800). After this comes Canada (950), Philippines (900), Jamaica (900), Germany (700), Britain (650), Cuba (450), Vietnam (400), Haiti (400) and South Korea (350). Trump claims that this number may increase further after analysis of the remaining 3.2 crore votes.

Trump said the US Census Bureau is examining 2020 voter records along with citizenship records. Linking this to electoral transparency, he claimed that this reinforces his old objections regarding the 2020 elections. However, people are also taking issue with these claims of Trump.

Amidst this entire controversy, Trump has once again reiterated the demand to pass the 'Save America Act'. Under this proposed law, there is a provision to make proof of citizenship and photo identity card mandatory for voting in federal elections. Besides, states will also have to take steps towards removing names of non-citizens from voter lists.

    Have praised India's electoral model

Interestingly, Trump had also praised India's electoral model on this issue. Referring to the conversation with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, he had said that 64.6 crore voters in India voted and almost all the voters had a valid photo identity card. Trump described India's voter identification system as an example for America.

However, political differences have also emerged in America on this issue. Critics say there is not enough public evidence to support claims of widespread non-citizen voting, despite the Trump administration citing it as an important basis for electoral reforms.
