FSSAI Food Safety: Nowadays, a large number of people order food through hotels, restaurants, dhabas, cafes and online food delivery platforms. Now ordering food has become so easy that you can order food from any restaurant sitting at home, but many times it has been seen that wrong or bad food is served to you by the restaurant or dhaba. However, this is a matter of concern, people can become ill after eating it. Many times customers get food that is dirty, of poor quality or contains expired products. In such a situation, most people just complain on social media or leave the matter there.

In such a situation, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has taken digital steps to crack down on adulterators and hotel-dhaba owners who serve dirty food. Keeping in mind the safety of customers, FSSAI has launched a Food Connect Safety App.

What is Food Safety Connect App?

Food Safety Connect app is a kind of digital platform, where customers can get fresh and good food without any adulteration. If you see any kind of dirt in the food or feel that the food is adulterated, then you can lodge a complaint through this app. To complain about this, you have to take a photo of dirty or adulterated food and upload it on the app. After this you have to choose the type of complaint and submit it. By doing this, the complaint will directly reach the digital dashboard of the Food Safety Officer of that area.

What kind of complaints can be filed?

On this app, you can lodge a complaint about food products, adulterated food being available in dhabas and restaurants. If you find mosquitoes, flies or anything poisonous in your food. Even if you suspect any dirt in the food or negligence, you can lodge a complaint against the restaurant serving the food on this app. For this, you can take a photo, upload it on this app and attach it.
