According to reports, the company may launch a new budget smartphone named OnePlus N6 Lite by the end of September. The special thing is that this phone is being said to be the most affordable smartphone of the company so far. If this information proves to be correct, then OnePlus can compete more aggressively in the segment priced below Rs 20,000 for the first time. This information regarding OnePlus N6 Lite has come to light from tipster Abhishek Yadav. He has claimed on social media platform X that the company is preparing to introduce this new smartphone in India later this month. In response to another post, the tipster has also shared information about 4GB RAM being provided in the phone. However, no official confirmation has been made yet by the company regarding the launch or specifications of this smartphone.
According to the report, OnePlus N6 Lite can be introduced especially keeping the Indian market in mind. Even before this, such information had come out that OnePlus is preparing to launch a budget 4G smartphone in India in September. It was also claimed that this phone could be launched exclusively in India and could be the company's last smartphone in the country in 2026. If both the reports are combined, then it is possible that this smartphone could be OnePlus N6 Lite. However, until the company gives its official information, these claims should be seen only as reports and leaks.
No concrete information has been revealed yet regarding the price of the phone. But if it is made the cheapest smartphone of the company, then its price is expected to be kept below Rs 20 thousand. If this happens, it can give direct competition to many popular smartphones in the budget segment. OnePlus N6 Lite is also being compared with the company's recent OnePlus N6X. OnePlus N6X was launched in India on July 31 at a starting price of Rs 18,999. Its 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model is priced at Rs 18,999, while the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant comes at Rs 20,999. In such a situation, the price of N6 Lite may be less than N6X.
Talking about the features of N6X, it has a 6.8 inch HD + LCD display, whose refresh rate is 120Hz. The phone has MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset, 13MP rear camera and a large 7,000mAh battery. It supports 15W wired fast charging. Currently, other information related to OnePlus N6 Lite's camera, display, processor, battery and storage has not been revealed. An official announcement from the company regarding the features, price and launch date of the phone is expected in the coming days. If the phone actually comes in a price range of less than Rs 20,000, it could further strengthen OnePlus' position in the budget smartphone market.
