Online attendance of clerk and attendant mandatory in Bihar
Patna. The Education Department has taken important steps to make the working system in the schools of Bihar more transparent and accountable. While till now only the attendance of teachers was recorded online, now clerks and attendants have also been included in this scope. Under the new system, the attendance of all these personnel will have to be compulsorily recorded on the e-Shiksha Kosh portal.
Complete data sought in three days
To implement this new system, the concerned authorities have instructed all the schools to provide detailed details of the clerks and attendants working there. Further online attendance system will be started on the basis of this data only.
Attendance linked to salary and service records
The Education Department has clarified that now the salary payment and service related records of the employees will be decided only through their online presence. That is, if the attendance of an employee is not recorded on the portal, it can have a direct impact on his salary and service records. This will help in ensuring regular attendance in schools.
Signs of strict action on negligence
The department has adopted a strict stance regarding this system. A warning has been given of administrative action against the concerned school heads and employees if the instructions are not followed. It is clear that the government wants to implement this system seriously.
