OP Rajbhar attacks SP on 1990 Karsevak shooting, holds Mulayam Singh Yadav responsible

Lucknow: Politics has once again heated up in Uttar Pradesh over the 1990 Karsevak firing incident. State government minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, while targeting the Samajwadi Party, has held the then Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav responsible for the firing on Kar Sevaks. He claimed that the Kar Sevaks were fired upon on the orders of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Rajbhar said that Mulayam Singh himself has mentioned this incident in the Lok Sabha and Assembly.

Om Prakash Rajbhar raised questions on the statements and functioning of Samajwadi Party. He said that there is a huge difference between what SP says and what it actually does. According to Rajbhar, at the time when the kar sevaks were fired upon, Mulayam Singh Yadav was the Chief Minister of the state and the order for firing was given by him. He also claimed that Ram Gopal Yadav had also admitted to giving the order to open fire.

This statement of Rajbhar has come after the attack on SP chief Akhilesh Yadav by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during a program in Ayodhya, had asked Akhilesh Yadav to apologize for the firing on kar sevaks in 1990. He said that before coming to Ayodhya, Akhilesh Yadav should apologize to those kar sevaks on whom bullets were fired. He also asked the people responsible for this incident to repent for their past actions.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also mentioned the struggle and sacrifice of kar sevaks and saints during the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He said that in the past, Ram devotees were insulted, bullets were fired at them and saints were lathicharged. Such people should apologize to Ram devotees and saints before coming to Ayodhya.

Referring to the development works done in Ayodhya, CM Yogi said that earlier even an airport could not be built in Ramnagari, but today there is an international airport named after Maharishi Valmiki. He said that the development of Ayodhya and the history of Ram Mandir movement cannot be ignored.

At present, after the statements of Om Prakash Rajbhar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the Karsevak firing incident of 1990, attacks on Samajwadi Party have intensified in the politics of Uttar Pradesh.
