There will be another attack after the Women’s Reservation Bill. India alliance has made a plan, Gyanesh Kumar’s troubles are going to increase!

Gyanesh Kumar CEC: After the success in Parliament on the Women’s Reservation Bill, now the opposition is preparing to open a new front against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Opposition parties are considering bringing a new notice in Parliament to remove him. According to a report in The Times of India, the major parties of the INDIA alliance are discussing this issue and work on a new draft has started.

This initiative is taking place at a time when the earlier notice given to Om Birla and C.P. Radhakrishnan. According to sources, detailed reasons were also given while rejecting the notice. The opposition believes that by removing the shortcomings of the earlier notices—especially the lack of ‘concrete examples of misconduct’—the proposal can be brought on a stronger basis this time.

Trinamool Congress is trying its best

It is being told that at present this discussion is in the initial stage and it may take time to take the final decision. Although there seems to be a consensus on this issue among the opposition parties, Trinamool Congress seems to be the most active in taking this initiative forward.

Opposition wants to give political message

Sources say that this step is also being seen in the context of the controversies that arose before the elections in West Bengal. Even before this, questions have been raised about the role of the Election Commission in various states, and the opposition also wants to present it as a political message.

Last time the opposition had given notice in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, but this time it is not clear whether the new proposal will be brought in both the houses or only in one. This entire development is also being linked in the context of the recent political circumstances and the challenges faced by the Central Government on the issue of the Constitution Amendment Bill (Delimitation and Women’s Reservation).
