Emphasis given to agriculture and modern technology
In his address, Omari said that Afghanistan is giving priority to global cooperation to increase the pace of economic development. He told that about 80 percent of the population of his country is dependent on farming, animal husbandry and irrigation. In such a situation, the need of the hour is to strengthen these areas through modern technology and better resources. He expressed hope that cooperation with India will create new opportunities in agriculture and related sectors.
