In the section of the street between the expressway and Nguyen Duy Trinh Street, many houses have been partially knocked down and set back from the road in the past two months after residents finally agreed to the compensation amounts.
Do Xuan Hop Street runs from Vo Nguyen Giap Boulevard (Hanoi Highway), passes beneath the HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, and ends at Nguyen Duy Trinh Street near Cat Lai Port.
The entire street is less than 2 km long, but only 1.6 km of it — between Hanoi Highway and the expressway — was widened though work started as long ago as in 2018. The remaining 400-meter created a bottleneck close to the expressway.
The delay was caused by disagreements over the compensation rates.
