Love happened on Snapchat, lover crossed LoC… Zeeshan returned to PoK after a month, love story remained incomplete
People have always heard that love knows no boundaries and is not afraid of risks like war. Not only this, when the passion of romance dominates the mind and the border drawn between two countries comes in its way, then law becomes more important than emotions. According to Indian Express, one such story is of Zeeshan Ahmed Mir, resident of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Iram Majeed, resident of Uri.
Both of them became friends on Snapchat, the conversation grew and gradually this relationship changed from romanticism to love. But this love story did not end as both of them had thought.
Crossed LoC for love on 31st May
Zeeshan Ahmed Mir, who was crazy about his girlfriend Iram, became so dominant that he crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and entered Indian territory on May 31 in order to meet her. He reached Pankedi village of Uri sector. However, his journey could not remain hidden for long. The Indian Army took him into custody in Silikote area. Initially he was considered an infiltrator, but after interrogation the officials realized that his motive was not for any kind of terrorist activity, but only to meet his girlfriend.
The intention was not wrong, but the law was violated
After much interrogation, the Indian Army accepted that Zeeshan’s motive was only to meet Iram, yet crossing the border is a crime under Indian law. Therefore he was handed over to the police. The police registered a case of illegal entry into India and sent him to Baramulla jail. After completion of the investigation, the police filed a charge sheet in the court, which the court accepted and settled the case.
PoK sent back after court order
After the completion of the legal process, Indian officials contacted Pakistani officials. On June 4, 2026, Zeeshan was sent back to Pakistan occupied Kashmir through the command post of Uri. According to officials, at around 12.30 pm he was handed over to Pakistani soldiers as per the procedure decided between the two countries.
Those two minutes of farewell will always be remembered
The army allowed Iram and his family to meet Zeeshan for a few minutes before returning. Iram told that the meeting was only for two-three minutes, but in those few moments Zeeshan could not say anything. Only tears kept flowing from his eyes. This meeting of both probably became the most emotional chapter of their love story.
Border drawn between love and law
The story of Zeeshan and Iram is a reminder that the digital world can bring people closer, but in the real world, country borders and laws remain in place. No matter how strong the feelings, crossing the border has its own rules and legal procedures.
The same thing is that a lover crossed the border and reached his love, but he had to return across the same border from where he came. Now this story of hers is definitely a love story viral on social media, but its end shows that the LoC drawn between India and Pakistan is not just a land line, but also the limit of law and sovereignty. It is not difficult to overcome it, but finding love is almost impossible.
