Pakistan disappeared due to mediation! Trump himself spoke to Iran on phone, also talked to Putin for 90 minutes
New Delhi: Pakistan tried to mediate in the ongoing tension between America and Iran, but it proved to be a complete failure. Iran has refused to trust Pakistan. Now Pakistan seems to be completely missing from this role. Both the countries are now talking directly on the phone.
Trump’s direct stance
US President Donald Trump has said that now instead of talking through Pakistan, direct phone contact with Iran is a better option. According to Trump, recent talks with Iran have been much better than before. He clearly said that America will not allow Iran to make nuclear weapons.
Long conversation between Trump and Putin
Trump also spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the phone. This conversation lasted for more than 90 minutes. The Kremlin described it as friendly and useful. The two leaders discussed the Iran crisis, Ukraine dispute and other global issues. Putin also gave some suggestions on the Iran issue.
Iran raised questions on Pakistan
Iranian MP Ebrahim Rezai said that Pakistan is no longer trustworthy as a mediator because it bows down to America. Although he described Pakistan as a good neighbor and friend, he termed it unsuitable for mediation. Rezai alleges that Pakistan often supports Trump’s interests and does not take a strong stance against America.
Iran talks with India
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi spoke to India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on phone. Both discussed the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, ceasefire situation, bilateral relations and regional security. Iran gave detailed information to India on important aspects related to the Strait of Hormuz. Both sides agreed to maintain contact in future.

At present, after Pakistan’s mediation failed, America is now insisting on direct talks with Iran. Trump reiterated that Iran’s military capability has been significantly weakened. Diplomatic activities have intensified at the international level, but the issue still remains complex.
