According to ESPNCricinfo, before the third Test match against England, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has removed Test head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul from their posts. Pakistan's white-ball (T20I and ODI) head coach Mike Hesson, who was already on an official visit to London, has now also been handed over the command of the Test team. PCB has appointed Hesson as the interim head coach of the Test team for the third and final Test match against England to be held at Edgbaston from 9 September. Apart from this, former Australian fast bowler Ashley Noffke is being made the new bowling coach.

Pakistan's condition was bad under the coaching of Sarfaraz Ahmed

Sarfaraz Ahmed was appointed the coach of Pakistan Test team in April this year, but under his supervision Pakistan team has lost 5 out of 6 Test matches. Due to this poor performance, PCB had to take this tough decision in the middle of the series.

In their place, new and backup players have been immediately called to England. Sam Ayub and Abdullah Fazal have been invited to join the Pakistan team, while four other players, Razaullah Khan, Mohammad Imran, Arafat Minhas and Rohail Nazir will join the team after getting visas. The third Test match between Pakistan and England will be played in Birmingham from 9 September. Now it remains to be seen whether Pakistan team can save itself from a clean sweep or not.
