Big statement from Pakistan’s head coach: India is not only the best team, but also&8230;

Pakistan head Coach’s Statement: In the year 2025, the head coach of Pakistan’s limited overs (white-ball) team, Mike Hesson, believes that the Indian cricket team is one of the best teams in the world. While giving his statement, he said that keeping in mind the incredible and dominant performance of Team India in the last few years, every small and big defeat of Pakistan should be seen in the same context.

No bilateral cricket series has been played between India and Pakistan for more than a decade. Due to political relations between the two countries, both the teams face each other only in ICC and Asian Cricket Council (ICC) international tournaments. In recent years, India has completely had the upper hand in these matches.

Indian team continued winning

From the year 2022, the Indian team has continued its winning streak against Pakistan. During this period, India defeated Pakistan thrice in a row in the 2025 Asia Cup, while also proving its strong position by registering a big win of 61 runs in the 2026 T20 World Cup. While giving his statement, Mike Hesson also said that in last year’s Asia Cup, we had won almost all the matches except the match against India. The reality is that at present every team in the world is struggling to defeat India. Not just Pakistan, but every team.

Why assess Pakistan only from India?

Hesson also believes that Pakistan is often assessed only on the basis of its performance against India, whereas Pakistan has also given many good performances against other teams. He said that between 2023 and 2025, we were not able to even cross the group stage in ICC tournaments. In such a situation, the eighth ranked team in the world cannot be expected to become direct title contender, we will have to win matches regularly first.

He said that it is necessary for any team to win matches regularly before winning big ICC tournaments and Pakistan is moving in the same direction. Hesson believes that in the last one year, Pakistan’s match winning rate has increased from about 20 percent to about 75 percent, which is a big change.
