WTC Points Table 2025-27: Pakistan suffered a big blow in the Lord’s Test against England (England vs Pakistan). Losing by 194 runs, they are trailing by 0-2 in the three-match Test series. As a result of defeat in two consecutive matches, Pakistan (Pakistan Cricket Team) fell further behind in the World Test Championship or WTC points table. Currently, Pakistan is at the bottom of the table, having won only two of the eight Tests played.

However, the position of the Indian team is much better than that of Pakistan. India have collected 68 points from 11 Tests with five wins, four losses and two draws. Team India is currently ranked fifth with 51.52 percent PCT. A 2-0 series win against Sri Lanka would have strengthened India’s position. But that opportunity was missed as the Colombo Test was a draw.
India’s profit at the rate of Pakistan?
India’s two consecutive defeats to Pakistan did not add any direct points. Each team’s points in the WTC depend mainly on the results of their matches. However, the overall equation of the competition for India has eased somewhat as Pakistan has fallen further behind. At the same time, if India can pick up wins in their remaining matches, they have a chance to strengthen their position in the race for the finals.
389 runs target, failed Pakistan
Batting first in the Lord’s Test, England scored 290 runs. In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for just 110 runs. As a result, England got a lead of 180 runs in the first innings. England set a big target of 389 runs in front of Pakistan by scoring 208 runs in the second innings. But chasing that run, Pakistan’s innings was reduced to just 194 runs on the fourth day.
Last exam in Birmingham
The victory at Lord’s made England 2-0 unstoppable in the three-match series. This time, Pakistan’s main goal is to avoid a whitewash in the last match of the series. The third Test will begin on September 9 in Birmingham. If Pakistan lose that match too, their situation in the WTC points table will worsen. India, on the other hand, will look to win consecutive matches in their next matches to advance to the finals.
