India and Pakistan clashed in the group stage match of ACC Women's Asia Cup 2026 on Saturday (September 5). Fatima admitted her mistake
The ICC issued a statement on Monday saying that Fatima had violated Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the Group A match of the Women's Asia Cup against India. Fatima was found guilty of violating Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct. This article deals with the offensive 'send off'.
Fatima had shown Shefali the way to the pavilion after taking the wicket, for which she was fined and 1 demerit point was added to her disciplinary record. This was his second offense in the last 24 months, resulting in 2 demerit points on his disciplinary record. He last received a demerit point on August 6, 2025, during a T20 match against Ireland in Dublin.

ICC said that along with admitting her mistake, Fatima accepted the punishment given by match referee Supriya Das. In such a situation, there was no need for a formal hearing. Let us tell you that for violation of Level 1, there is a provision ranging from official warning to fine up to 50 percent of the player's match fee and giving one or two demerit points.
