WI VS PAK: The Pakistan cricket team has suffered a major setback in the two-match Test series against the West Indies. In-form batsman Shan Masood has been ruled out of the second and final Test, scheduled for August 2-6 in Port-of-Spain. In the first Test, the left-handed batsman scored 109 runs at number 3 in the first innings, becoming the only player to score a century in the match. During the innings, a ball from Caribbean fast bowler Jayden Seals struck his left index finger, and it was later revealed that the former captain had suffered a broken finger. In the second innings, with Pakistan heading for a major defeat, Masood came in to bat at number 8. This time, his innings lasted only 15 balls, and Seals dismissed him for 3 runs.

Shan Masood will not be a part of the second Test

Pakistan has suffered a major setback ahead of the second Test match against the West Indies in the form of Shan Masood. Former Pakistani captain Shan Masood has been ruled out of the series due to injury. Masood suffered the injury during the first Test match played at the Brian Lara Stadium, and will be unable to play in the next match.

During the innings, a ball from Caribbean fast bowler Jaden Seals struck his left index finger, and it was later revealed that the former captain had suffered a finger injury. However, when the team needed him, he came in to bat at number 8 in the second innings, but failed to play a significant innings, scoring 3 runs off 15 balls. It’s worth noting that only one century was scored in the first Test, which came from former Pakistan captain Shan Masood. Therefore, his absence will undoubtedly be felt by the team.

West Indies won the first test match

The first Test of the two-match Test series between the West Indies and Pakistan was played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad. The Caribbean team scored 311 runs in the first innings, while Pakistan made 282. The West Indies posted 181 runs in the second innings.

Thus, the West Indies set Pakistan a target of 211 runs in the first Test. Chasing the target, Pakistan were bowled out for just 120. As a result, Pakistan lost the match by 90 runs and fell behind 0-1 in the series. Consequently, the second Test of the series will now be a do-or-die affair.
