Pakistan’s first reaction on CJP movement came out, know what PAK Foreign Ministry said?

New Delhi. For the first time, Pakistan’s official reaction has come to light regarding the ongoing Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) movement at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Pakistan’s Ministry of External Affairs refused to comment, calling the issue an internal matter of India.

During the weekly press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi was asked whether the Indian government’s handling of the movement was a human rights issue. In response, he said, “This is India’s internal matter. Pakistan does not comment on such matters.”

This statement of Pakistan has come at a time when the movement led by CJP at Jantar Mantar in Delhi has reached its fifth week. The protesters are demanding resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the NEET-UG paper leak case, reforms in the education system and accountability for alleged irregularities in the examination system.

Movement increased after ‘Sansad Chalo’ march

There was a clash between protesters and Delhi Police during the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march organized on July 20. The protesters allege that the police used lathicharge and tear gas to stop them, while the Delhi Police says that necessary force was used to maintain law and order after an attempt to break the barricade.

Government’s strict stance on paper leak cases

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced to set up a fast track court to deal with cases of paper leaks in public examinations. He said that the future of students is the top priority of the government and prompt and strict action will be ensured against the culprits.

Proposal for talks, CJP adamant on neutral place

The central government has also reiterated its offer of talks with the agitators. According to Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, the government has invited CJP for talks four times and is ready for talks with Health Minister JP Nadda. However, CJP has refused to hold the meeting at Nadda’s residence or office and has demanded to hold the talks at a neutral place.

On the other hand, social activist Sonam Wangchuk associated with the movement has ended her 25-day fast, while the organization is considering further strategy to continue the movement.
