Pankaj Tripathi used to ask for work saying God has sent him, sometimes used to play the role of a girl: Know the entire journey from struggle to success on his 50th birthday

New Delhi . Pankaj Tripathi is one of those selected actors of Hindi cinema today, whose name makes the audience expect an excellent performance. Pankaj Tripathi, who has made a name for himself with his natural and powerful acting from films to web series, has traveled a long and difficult journey to reach this point of success. Today, on his 50th birthday, his life story once again proves that if hard work and patience are not given up, even the most difficult path of struggles can lead to success.

Born on 5 September 1976, Pankaj Tripathi's childhood was spent in a village environment. His father was a farmer as well as a priest and in his childhood, apart from studies, Pankaj also helped his father in the fields. However, he had a deep interest in acting from the very beginning. He got a chance to act in local plays held during village festivals. During that period, he also used to play the role of a girl many times. Perhaps no one would have thought then that this child acting on the village stage would one day become such a big and trusted name in Hindi cinema.

After studying in the village till high school, Pankaj Tripathi reached Patna. There he studied hotel management but his dream of acting remained alive within him. After living in Patna for several years, he moved to Delhi and enrolled in the National School of Drama. After completing his studies in 2004, his journey reached Mumbai where it was easy to step into the world of dreams but very difficult to create one's identity.

Pankaj Tripathi started his career with small roles. After doing a small role in the Kannada film Chigurida Kanasu, he reached Mumbai but had to struggle continuously for years. He himself had told that between 2004 and 2010, he got work but his financial condition could not become strong. He roamed the streets of Mumbai and production offices in search of work and kept trying to get an acting opportunity.

His way of asking for work was also very different. When the guard outside the office asked who had called him, he used to say that God had sent him. When people associated with casting would go inside and ask the same question, Pankaj would again give the same answer and point upwards. This thing of his made many people laugh and some people even got angry but Pankaj's faith and efforts never stopped.

During this period of struggle, his wife Mridula supported him by becoming his strongest support. She taught in school and handled the financial responsibilities of the family. Pankaj Tripathi has admitted many times that if he had not had the support of his wife, perhaps his journey would not have been so easy. He described his difficult days as not just a struggle but a time to prepare himself for art.

  • Even after working in the film Run in 2004, he did not get immediate recognition. For many years, he appeared in small roles and continued playing roles like gangsters and villains. He made his presence felt through small roles in films like Bunty Aur Babli, Aphaan, Omkara, Shaurya, Raavan, Aakrosh, Chillar Party and Agneepath.

Then in the year 2012, Gangs of Wasseypur changed the direction of his life and career. After this Pankaj Tripathi did not look back. He also made his mark in the world of web series with films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Fukrey Returns, Newton and many others. Today his story is not just an actor's success but an inspiration for every person who keeps his dreams alive even in difficult circumstances.
