New Delhi:Today i.e. on 22nd September, the holy festival of Parivartini Ekadashi is being celebrated. Shukla Paksha Ekadashi of Bhadrapada month is called Parivartini Ekadashi, which is also known as Padma Ekadashi and Jayanti Ekadashi. If you find mention of Padma Ekadashi or Jayanti Ekadashi somewhere, then understand that it is another name used for the same Parivartini Ekadashi.
According to religious beliefs, by observing the fast of Parivartini Ekadashi and worshiping Lord Vishnu with devotion, all the sins committed knowingly or unknowingly are destroyed. It is believed that due to the effect of this fast, a person gets progress in material life along with happiness and prosperity in this world, while the path to attaining salvation in the next world also becomes easier.
Know the right time of auspicious time
The date of Parivartini Ekadashi has started from 8 pm yesterday i.e. 21st September, and this date will end today on 22nd September at 9.43 pm. This fast will be broken on the morning of 23rd September between 6:10 am to 8:35 am.
Vamana form is specially worshiped
Special importance has been given to worshiping the Vamana form of Lord Vishnu on this day. Vamana avatar is considered to be one of the major incarnations of Lord Vishnu. On this day, devotees observe a fast and worship Lord Vishnu and pray for happiness, peace and prosperity in their lives.
According to religious beliefs, if a person desires child happiness, wealth or progress in life, then fasting on Parivartini Ekadashi can prove to be very beneficial for him. By fasting on this day and worshiping both Lord Vishnu and Lord Ganesha, sins are destroyed and the wish of happiness and prosperity in life is fulfilled. That is why Parivartini Ekadashi is considered very important for the destruction of sins, happiness of children, knowledge, wisdom and wealth and prosperity. It is believed that by fasting and worshiping on this day with reverence and following the rules, one gets the special blessings of Lord Vishnu.
