Patna Civil Court received bomb threat, court proceedings stopped, entire campus evacuated

Patna: There was panic in the Patna Civil Court and Patna City Civil Court premises when information was received from an unknown source threatening to blow up the court with a bomb. After this threat received on Friday, the security and administrative machinery immediately came into action. As a precautionary measure, the court proceedings were immediately stopped and the judges, advocates present in the premises and the common citizens who had come to plead their cases were safely evacuated by the security personnel and the entire premises was evacuated.

Salman, who lives near Khajurwali Mosque in Luhara village, had a dispute with his wife Sheeba on Thursday morning over some issue. In anger, Salman stabbed Sheeba several times in the neck with scissors kept in the house.
The woman got seriously injured in the attack and fell down drenched in blood. The family immediately took him to the local doctor, where after first aid, stitches were put on his neck.

At present, there is a complete ban on entry of any outsider into the Civil Court premises till the security check is completed. Security forces are searching every nook and corner. Officials say that the final decision on normalizing the court work will be taken only after the search operation of the entire complex is completed and the security situation is reviewed. Since this incident, heavy police force has been deployed in the entire judicial complex and vigil has been increased in the surrounding areas, so that any possible disaster can be dealt with immediately.
