Pawan Kheda’s ‘penance’ completed, who else did Congress make Rajya Sabha candidate?

Congress Party has released its new list of candidates for the Rajya Sabha by-elections. The name of senior leader Pawan Kheda is also included in this list, who will be sent to Rajya Sabha from Karnataka. This is also being seen as the parliamentary debut of Pawan Kheda. Apart from this, the party has also made Mansoor Ali Khan and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge its candidates.

 

Many other leaders from different states have also been included in this list of Congress. These include the names of Meenakshi Natarajan from Madhya Pradesh, Neeraj Dangi from Rajasthan, Praveen Chakraborty from Tamil Nadu and Pranab Jha from Jharkhand. The party says that this selection has been made keeping in mind the organizational balance and political strategy.

Rajya Sabha elections will be held on June 18

Voting for 24 Rajya Sabha seats will be held in 10 states of the country on June 18. These include states like Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Manipur. Along with this, by-elections will also be held on one seat each in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Odisha on the same day. The last date for filing nominations has been fixed as June 8.
