PBKS vs LSG, IPL 2026: Punjab Kings set a record target of 255 runs for Lucknow Super Giants.
New Chandigarh: On the strength of the stormy batting of Priyansh Arya (93) and Cooper Connelly (87), Punjab Kings scored a huge score of 254 runs against Lucknow Super Giants in the 29th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday. This is the highest score of Punjab Kings in IPL 2026.
Here today Lucknow Super Giants won the toss and decided to bowl first. In the very first over which Punjab came to bat, Mohammed Shami gave the first blow by dismissing Prabhsimran Singh (0). After this, Cooper Connelly, who came to bat, displayed explosive batting along with Priyansh Arya and added 182 runs for the first and second wicket. Prince Yadav broke this partnership by dismissing Cooper Conley in the 14th over. Cooper Connelly played an innings of 87 runs in 46 balls, hitting eight fours and seven sixes.
In the very next over, M Siddharth caught Priyansh Arya who was moving towards his century. Priyansh Arya scored 93 runs in 37 balls hitting four fours and nine sixes. Captain Shreyas Iyer (five) and Nehal Badhera (13) were out after scoring runs. Prince Yadav dismissed Shashank Singh in the last over of the innings. Shashank Singh scored 17 runs in six balls, hitting one four and two sixes. Punjab Kings scored a huge score of 254 runs for seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Which is Punjab’s highest score in IPL 2026.
Overall, this is his second best score in IPL. Marcus Stoinis was run out on the last ball of the innings. Marcus Stoinis scored 29 runs in 16 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes. Punjab Kings batsmen hit a record 21 sixes and 16 fours in this innings. Prince Yadav and M Siddharth took two wickets each for Lucknow Super Giants. Mohammed Shami and Mohsin Khan dismissed one batsman each.
