Cooper Connolly and Priyansh Arya Innings: The 29th match of IPL 2026 being played in Mullanpur between Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants became very exciting. After losing the toss, Punjab Kings, who came to bat first, got a great start from the opening pair of Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly. Both the batsmen adopted an aggressive approach from the beginning and maintained pressure on the Lucknow bowlers. Although both missed their respective centuries, their batting completely changed the course of the match.
There was devastation in the 13th over, batsmen fell heavily on Markram.
The 13th over of the innings proved to be the most important and explosive over of this match. Aidan Markram bowled this over for Lucknow Super Giants, but he had to pay a heavy price. Cooper Connolly hit three consecutive sixes on the first three balls of the over, due to which the bowlers came under pressure. After this a wide ball came and then a run was scored.
Priyansh Arya also showed his talent on the last two balls of the over. He hit a brilliant six on the fifth ball towards deep midwicket, while playing a straight shot on the last ball he hit another six. In this way, a total of 32 runs were scored in this single over, which completely changed the direction of the match.
Shameful record in the name of Markram

Earlier this record was in the name of Ravi Bishnoi, who had given 27 runs in an over against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2022.
Historic partnership of 182 runs
An excellent partnership of 182 runs was seen between Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly for the second wicket. This partnership was not only the biggest strength of this match, but also made a special place in the IPL history of Punjab Kings.
