On Saturday, a girl jumped into the Chenav river in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The 20-year-old girl was identified as Payal. A video of the incident is also viral on social media. In this, the girl is standing with the support of the railing on the side of the bridge over the river. Saying bye-bye, she jumps into the river.
According to media reports, Payal is a resident of Korda village in Doda district. The local administration and people have started a search operation in the river. The incident is said to have happened around 2 pm. The flow of the river is quite fast. No trace of Payal has been found yet. Apart from the local police administration, the disaster management team is also engaged in the search operation.

According to the report of Dainik Jagran, Payal had gone to a fair organized in the village. Later she informed her father Krishna Lal over phone about her ill health and said that she was going to the doctor. When the doctor was not available, Payal was returning by bike with a person.

But suddenly Payal went towards Chenab river. The person present with him called his father and informed him about the incident. When the father spoke on the call, Payal said, 'No one has troubled him. This is my own decision. My heart is telling me that I should go this way. After saying bye-bye, Payal jumped into the river.

According to the report of Amar Ujala, Payal was mentally disturbed for some time. He was also undergoing treatment. It is clearly visible in the video that the girl is standing with the help of the railing on the bridge. There is a car parked nearby. Vehicles are passing on the road. People stop the girl from taking a wrong step, but she jumps into the Chenab river while saying bye-bye.
