Showbiz commentator Perez Hilton’s mother has stepped in to be the caregiver of his kids as he recovers from a mental health crisis.
The content creator has been in hospital recovering after he was rushed in emergency following a disturbing TikTok live when he presumably self-harmed on camera.
Perez's mother, Teresita Lavandeira, has filed for temporary custody of his three children, Mario, Mia and Mayte.
As per documents obtained by Page SixPerez has “voluntarily consented” to the request.
His declaration stated “I realise that by signing this document, I am consenting to the Petitioner having temporary legal custody of the minor children and that such temporary custody is in the best interest of the children.”
“I realise that the custody of my children by the Petitioner is temporary and that I may, at any time, petition the court to return legal custody to me.”
This decision would mean that Teresita can consent to necessary medical and dental care for the kids and make decisions about their education and “do all other things necessary for the care of the children.”
