New Delhi: Crude oil prices have fallen below $110, but as they remain above $100, the hope of petrol and diesel becoming cheaper is currently weak. The fear of price rise in November was also expressed in the Bloomberg report. It is a matter of relief that today on October 19, the prices are stable.
HPCL, IOCL and BPCL have not made any change in the rates of petrol and diesel today. Brent crude was trading at $107.95 per barrel, down $1.91 in the morning. In Delhi, 20 percent ethanol mixed petrol is stable at Rs 102.12 and diesel at Rs 95.20 per liter. The cheapest petrol in the country is Rs 88.66 a liter in Port Blair, where diesel is available at Rs 84.56 a litre. The most expensive petrol is Rs 118.34 per liter in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, where the price of diesel is Rs 106.06 per liter.
Private companies had increased the prices
Jio-BP had increased the price of petrol by Rs 5 and diesel by Rs 3 per liter on October 3. Before that, Naira had also increased by a similar amount. Due to cost of fuel, the cost of vehicles directly increases. In future, if freight transportation becomes expensive, the prices of vegetables, groceries and other things may also be affected. Talking about government companies, they had increased the prices of both petrol and diesel by about Rs 7.50 per liter in May this year. After that the prices at government pumps have not increased.
