Fuel prices (petrol and diesel) are determined based on international crude oil prices and the exchange rate of the rupee against the dollar. Prices remained stable in most cities across the country, with the exception of the capital Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. Petrol prices have surpassed ₹100 in many cities, while diesel prices have only crossed ₹100 per liter in select states.
