Petrol is being sold at Rs 102.12 per liter in the country’s capital New Delhi. Its price in Kolkata is Rs 113.51 per liter, while in Mumbai petrol is available at Rs 111.21 per liter. Talking about other major cities, petrol is Rs 102.97 per liter in Gurugram, Rs 101.96 in Noida, Rs 111.68 in Bengaluru and Rs 108.97 per liter in Bhubaneswar. Petrol is being sold at Rs 101.54 per liter in Chandigarh, Rs 115.69 in Hyderabad, Rs 112.69 in Jaipur and Rs 101.86 per liter in Lucknow. Whereas in Patna the price of petrol has increased to Rs 113.93 per liter.

Diesel is Rs 95.20 per liter in New Delhi. Its price has been recorded at Rs 99.82 per liter in Kolkata, Rs 97.83 in Mumbai and Rs 99.55 per liter in Chennai. Diesel is available at Rs 95.64 per liter in Gurugram, Rs 95.44 in Noida, Rs 99.56 in Bengaluru and Rs 100.68 per liter in Bhubaneswar. Diesel is priced at Rs 89.47 per liter in Chandigarh, Rs 103.82 in Hyderabad, Rs 97.78 in Jaipur and Rs 95.36 in Lucknow. The price of diesel in Patna has increased to Rs 99.91 per liter.

Prices were increased several times in May 2026

In the month of May this year, the prices of petrol and diesel were increased four times consecutively. On May 15, petrol became costlier by Rs 3 and diesel by Rs 3.29 per litre. After this, the prices of both the fuels were increased on May 19 and May 23 also. Then on May 25, petrol became costlier by Rs 2.61 and diesel by Rs 2.71 per litre. Since then, fuel prices have remained stable across the country.
