Patna. There is great news for PG medical students in Bihar. The government will provide a stipend ranging from ₹92,800 to ₹1,12,200 every month. Know how much students of which year will get. Bihar government has made a significant increase in the honorarium of students studying PG courses in government medical and dental colleges of Bihar.

Who will get how much honorarium?

According to the resolution issued by the Health Department, the new rates of revised honorarium for PG students will be applicable from January 1, 2026. Under the new system, first year PG students will get Rs92,800, second year students will get Rs1,02,000 and third year students will get Rs1,12,200 per month.

You will get Rs 92,800 instead of Rs 82 thousand

Earlier, PG first, second and third year students were being given honorarium of Rs82,000, Rs90,200 and Rs99,220 per month respectively.

This increase in honorarium is an important step in the interest of students studying PG courses in government medical and dental colleges of the state.

This will provide better financial support to PG students during their training and service period and will encourage quality human resources in the field of medical education.
