The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has punished a player for violating the rules. According to Indian Cricket Board officials, a player was talking to his girlfriend on the phone during the match. Because of this, a fine of Rs 1 lakh has been imposed on him. Some time ago a Tamil Nadu Premier League match took place. During the same time the young batsman was allegedly found talking on the phone. The identity of the player has not been revealed yet.
The player's violation of rules has been reported to the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), following which action was taken against the player. For your information, under BCCI rules, players and support staff are not allowed to carry any communication device like phone inside the match area. Players must hand over their phones to the security personnel before entering the restricted area.

What did Tamil Nadu Cricket Association say?
Tamil Nadu Cricket Association officials had spoken to PTI regarding this matter, where they revealed that the identity of the player will not be disclosed yet. However, the official had revealed some information related to the player.
The official said on Friday, 'The matter is currently being investigated, so the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) will not reveal the identity of the player. What I can tell you is that this player is a left-handed player, who scored two half-centuries for Tamil Nadu in the last Ranji Trophy. The player was found messaging his girlfriend during the match, whereas using the phone during the match is a violation of the rules. According to the information, this player was being considered to be banned for 2 years, but the matter was not serious, hence a fine of Rs 1 lakh was imposed.

There was violation in IPL also
Last year, Rajasthan Royals manager Romi Bhinder was fined Rs 1 lakh for using the phone during the match. According to the information, before imposing the fine, a notice was sent to Romi Bhinder, after which he went to meet BCCI officials. During that conversation he was warned by the authorities, after which a fine of Rs 1 lakh was imposed.
