PM Modi said, when I came to Australia in 2014, it was after 28 years that an Indian PM had reached here. And you remember, then I said that now you will not have to wait for 28 years. I have come here for the third time in the last 12 years, which means this time it has been a hat-trick. This shows at what height the relations between India and Australia are.

This city of Melbourne gives a glimpse of four seasons in a single day, but the Indian community has made it more vibrant with its cultural color. There are many such places and markets in and around Melbourne which are filled with the color of Indianness. Some call it Little India, some call it Mini India… whatever the name, but the colors are full of Indianness.

He further said, there is a new trend of bhajan clubbing going on in India these days, it is being driven by our Gen Z and here in Australia I have heard that your weekends are full of faith and spirituality. Somewhere in someone’s house the story of Lord Satyanarayan is being narrated, somewhere in the Gurudwara there is Ardaas, somewhere there is presentation of Bhangra or Bharatnatyam by children, somewhere there is a cricket tournament going on. Now the Indian Film Festival has also come here, after a few days the Indian Film Festival is going to start here in Melbourne, I wish all the best for its successful organization.

PM Modi further said, you all are watering the growth of Australia with your hard work, but I know that you always keep one eye on India. You keep inquiring about what India is doing, India’s progress, India’s speed. India of the 21st century is today working towards the goal of development. When a dream is fulfilled, a new dream is born. Earlier it was said that if one lamp lit another, a thousand lamps would burn. Today I say, from one dream another dream is born, a thousand dreams are born.
